Material is excited to announce its seventh exhibition of 2008: Charles Bopp: Notion and Objectivity.
Material is located at 2553 Broad Avenue.
Charles Bopp: Notion and Objectivity will open for a reception for the artist on Friday, September 12 from 6-8 pm. The exhibition will run through September 27th.
Notion and Objectivity will feature a series of recent paintings and drawings. About the show Bopp writes: “A teacher once said to me. ‘You seem very comfortable in the dark.’ I think I’ve been trying to paint out of it ever since.”
Charles Bopp received his BFA from Memphis College of Art and went on to earn his MFA from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Since 2003 Charles Bopp has taught art at St. George's Independent Schools in Germantown. His work was included in Marshall Abstraction at the Fugitive Art Center in Nashville as well as in 639 at Delta Axis at Marshall Arts.
Material is located at 2553 Broad Avenue. Parking is available on both the north and south sides of Broad Avenue.
