After you put on your snow tires, and stop by the grocery store to get your bread, milk and eggs, there are a bundle of shows opening tonight.
Starting way out east and moving west:
Bobby Spillman's Greetings from Spillmanville at L Ross Gallery
Michael Crespo's Venus in Transit at David Lusk Gallery
Roy Tamboli's Madrugaga at Perry Nicole
and the closing reception for NIA's The Aids Project at Marshall Arts
(I think that's it. I could be wrong though.)
Coming soon: Glenn Ligon at Power House Memphis, Brian Bishop at Material, and Chicago art historian/critic James Yood's lecture "Rethinking Regionalism: Place in Contemporary Art" at Blount Auditorium at Rhodes College.
