We have a new art space opening in Memphis. With a grand opening listed for May 2, 2008, we're happy to see another new member of the Memphis arts club. With the addition of Odessa and Rozelle Artists Guild, we're seeing quite a swell in the non-traditional gallery scene in town.
Five in One or VINI (think roman numerals) is located at 423 North Watkins and they have a spanking new website up at fiveinone.org
They are focusing on installation work and plan to feature Memphis artists and to also bring in folks from out of town. There are a couple of holes in their calendar, so if you've got a killer idea for an installation piece, you should give them a ring.
