Clough-Hanson Gallery at Rhodes College is very excited to announce the 2009 Juried Student Show. The opening reception for the exhibition will be Friday, April 3th from 6-8 pm.
The 2009 Juried Student Show will run from April 3th through April 8th.
This year Carissa Hussong will be the juror for the exhibition. Hussong has been active in the arts community of Memphis for many years. She has a BA in English Literature from Boston University as well as a BA in Art History from the University of Washington. She worked as an associate curator and as a curatorial fellow at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. After ten years as the Director for the UrbanArt Commission she became the Executive Director of the National Ornamental Metal Museum.
This year’s exhibition features work by: Kathleen Perniciaro, Elizabeth Hartman, Gracie Wright, Noelle Smith, Alex Carter, Douglas Degges, Johnathan Payne, The 180 Finger Collective, Molly Bombardi-Mont, Molly Bombardi-Mont, Julianne Lindner, Maggie Exner, Anna Phelan, Esther Ruiz, and Ryan Jessee.
Please join us at the opening reception this Friday, April 3rd from 6-8 pm.
We will announce the Best of Show, First Runner Up, and Second Runner Up in the gallery promptly at 7 pm.
Gallery hours for Clough-Hanson are Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The gallery is closed Sundays and Mondays. Admission to the gallery and lectures is always free to the public.
