Power Up pARTy– Details for the Artist

What We’re Asking:
We send you a 9” x 12” pre-stretched canvas, along with prepaid return packaging.
Create whatever you want on the canvas; there is no theme or subject, any medium or form of materials. It only needs to fit in the return package, must be signed on the back, and able to be hung.
We ask that the finished artwork be returned to PHM by Friday, May 15, for inclusion in the Power Up pARTy Preview (see below). The absolute deadline for artwork to be included in the Power Up pARTy is Monday, May 25.
When you return your canvas, please include a bio or artist statement. We will pass it along to the lucky ticket-holder who selects your artwork.
The Preview
On Friday May 29, 6pm – 9pm, we will host our monthly Trolley Night where those canvases received before or by May 15 can be previewed. The work will be on display leading up to…
The Power Up pARTy: Saturday, June 13
Your work will be hung salon style in the Fuel Room and Power House Cinema.
To make it more interesting, there will be no identifying labels on the artwork. Ticket-holders will be called upon randomly, and will be permitted to select the work they fancy. At the end of the evening, each piece of art will be wrapped and packaged along with the artist’s info, and taken home. Everyone is sure to enjoy this part of the evening!
What you get

Tickets to Power Up pARTy are $150 per person for members and $200 per person for non-members. In return for your participation, we’d like to extend the opportunity for you to attend for $50 (at this reduced price you won’t be able to take artwork home with you). You can also bring one guest for an additional $25. These tickets will be limited, so please RSVP to George Henderson ASAP at george@deltaaxis.org.
Or you can attend our monthly Trolley night on Friday June 26 for a special artist’s only thank you reception. You can also RSVP for this event to george@deltaaxis.org.
We will provide you with an Individual Membership to PHM for one full year. (If you won’t be using your membership, we will be happy to donate it art departments at local colleges and universities).
Recognition on our website (2,500 unique visitors/month) for one full year.

By donating artwork, you will not only be helping to make Power Up pARTy a success, but you will also be supporting the vital work that Power House Memphis does to provide a place for innovative art, performances and films to be experienced.
